Students hit hard by Indian ban on Chinese apps


NEW DELHI (China Daily/Asia News Network): A ban on Chinese apps initiated by the Indian government almost two years ago came as a shock for Gauri, a content creator from New Delhi on the popular short video platform TikTok, who lost more than 6 million followers in one go.

"It was not easy to see the app go offline almost overnight," said the young woman, who only wanted to be known by her first name.
