MANILA, May 7 (The Straits Times/ANN): In two days, more than 65 million Filipinos will cast their ballots in a historic election which is as much about the past as it is of the future.

"This is the most consequential election in contemporary Philippine history," said political analyst Richard Heydarian at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
