Vietnam aims to boost rice export to South-East Asian countries


HANOI, May 7 (Bernama): The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Industry and Trade Ministry (MoIT) will coordinate with Vietnam’s trade offices in member countries of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) to organise consulting session on rice exports.

Last year, the Philippines was Vietnam’s biggest rice buyer, importing 2.45 million tonnes worth over US$1.25 billion, according to Vietnam news agency (VNA).
