Anti-smoking event held in Hanoi

The Health Ministry and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee held a ceremony in Hanoi to mark World No Tobacco Day (May 31) and National No Tobacco Week.

Luong Ngoc Khue, head of the ministry’s Medical Examination and Treatment Department and Vietnam Tobacco Control Fund director, said the number of male smokers in the country has dropped from 45.3% in 2015 to 42.3% at present.
