BA.4 variant in Brunei, not expected to significantly increase Covid cases


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): The Omicron BA.4 variant is not expected to cause a significant rise in the number of Covid-19 infections in the country after it was detected in April, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar in the daily press conference on Wednesday (June 1).

The European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has declared the sub-variant of Omicron as a ‘Variant of Concern’.
