Laos among countries with highest inflation in South-East Asia; rate now standing at a high of 4.7%

VIENTIANE, July 30 (Vientiane Times/ANN): The inflation forecast for South-East Asia for 2022 has been raised significantly from 3.7 per cent to 4.7 per cent, according to the latest report from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Laos has one of the highest inflation rates in the region, with the price rise recorded 23.6 per cent year-on-year in June, according to ADB’s “Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2022 Supplement”.
