Trade between Laos and Vietnam exceeds US$1bil


VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The value of two-way trade between Laos and Vietnam exceeded US$1 billion over the past eight months of this year, an increase of over 20 per cent compared to the same period last year, a top Vietnamese leader has said.

Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc (pic) quoted the figure when responding to questions by reporters in an interview held to mark the 60th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations.
