Japan's LDP to update list of members linked to Unification Church


The LDP this month said that 179 out of 379 members it surveyed were found to have interacted with the church. - Reuters

TOKYO (Reuters):Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) will release an updated list of members who have had connections with the controversial Unification Church, its secretary-general Toshimitsu Motegi said on Tuesday (Sept 20).

Links between the church and LDP have been in focus after former premier Shinzo Abe was shot during an election rally.
