Rising prices, supply disruptions, delay economic recovery in Laos: ADB

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has lowered its 2022 economic growth outlook for Laos to 2.5 per cent from 3.4 per cent projected in April and to 3.5 per cent from 3.7 per cent for 2023.

The slower growth projection is linked to supply disruptions and rising commodity prices which have increased inflationary pressures, according to the update of ADB’s flagship publication, Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2022.
