Philippines still free of immune-evasive XBB subvariant


MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday said the new Omicron subvariant known as XBB, which is driving new infections in Singapore, has not yet been detected in the country.

“As of Oct. 13, we have not detected [this] variant in the Philippines,” the DOH said.
