Myanmar junta snubbed at Asean defence chiefs’ meet

BANGKOK (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): The Association of South-east Asian (Asean) defence chiefs held their annual retreat on Tuesday (Nov 22) without a representative from Myanmar amid the prolonged political crisis in the country.

With Covid-19 on the wane, Asean started physical meetings under Cambodia, which is the current chairman of the 10-member bloc.
