Myanmar plans to generate over 8,100 megawatts of power from wind project


YANGON (Eleven Media Group/Asia News Network): Six sites of the wind power project that will be jointly conducted by Myanmar and Russia, will be able to produce more than 8,100 megawatts of electricity, sources said.

It was reported when the meeting on the joint projects between the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Electric Power and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation "ROSATOM" of the Russian Federation was held on Dec 13 at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Electric Power's Office No. 27.

In the discussion, the Union Minister for Electric Power said that the basic information needed in the initial analysis for the SMR will be cooperated with the working groups, and he believes that the project works will be completed within the specified period.
