Kham district expected to attract more tourists in 2023

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Tourism in Kham district of Xieng Khuang province has started to flourish since the reopening of the country after the Covid-19 pandemic and the inflow of visitors is expected to increase in the coming year.

The Deputy Head of the Information, Culture and Tourism Office of Kham, Khambay Sengchanpheng, told Vientiane Times that before the Covid-19 outbreak, more than 30,000 tourists visited various places in the district every year. During the lockdown, all tourist attractions were closed and the number of tourists coming to Kham over the past two years was nearly zero.
