Driver escapes car fire unscathed

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): A driver escaped unhurt when his vehicle suddenly burst into flames along the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SHOAS) Bridge on Monday (Jan 2) morning.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), 11 firefighters from Bangar Fire Station led by ASO Asli Bini and Acting ASO Ramzul Asrin Ramly were dispatched.

The cause of the fire and estimated losses are currently under investigation.

The FRD advised the public to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition.
