SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): A man who sued the police for wrongly arresting him has been awarded S$20,000 in damages for false imprisonment, after the High Court ruled in his favour.

However, Mah Kiat Seng, 48, failed in his second claim that another officer had assaulted him while he was in police custody.
