Myanmar actress Moh Moh Myint Aung and ex-husband sued for fraud

YANGON (Eleven Media Group/Asia News Network): A lawsuit has been lodged at Indagaw Police Station in Bago Region against an academy award-winning actress, Moh Moh Myint Aung, and her ex-husband for swindling 500 million kyats, according to police sources.

A police officer from Bago Region Police Force said the actress and her ex-husband U Maung Maung Kyaw had been sued under Section 420 of the Penal Code of Myanmar.

“It’s true they have been filed under section 420 at Indagaw Police Station, he confirmed.

Last year, Moh Moh Myint Aung announced divorce from her husband in a state-run newspaper on Nov 24.

They divorced after over 35 years of marriage.

In her divorce announcement, the actress cited her husband’s unforgivable and repeated monetary scandals as the reason.
