Police bust suspected prostitution activity

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): A 36-year-old foreign woman was detained by Gambling Suppression and Anti-Vice Unit personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently for alleged involvements in immoral activities.

According to the RBPF, a raid was conducted on April 11 night targetting an accommodation in Berakas where the suspect was believed to have been offering sexual services.

Police personnel found several evidence at the scene including lubricant, condoms, mobile phone and cash believed to be used in illegal activities.

The case is being investigated under Section 294A, Chapter 22 of the Criminal Procedure Code for offering sexual services.
