Brunei and Saudi ties will continue to be strengthened, says Sultan Hassanal

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 16 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei king, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, believes the close relationship between Brunei and Saudi Arabia will continue to be strengthened through the official visit.

His Majesty expressed this during a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, at Al-Salam Palace, Jeddah on Saturday.

Sultan Hassanal and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed touched on bilateral cooperation matters and efforts to expand cooperation for the benefit of the people of both countries.

His Majesty also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Saudi Arabia for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak ohamed Alam as well as members of the royal family.

His Majesty was welcomed on arrival at Al-Salam Palace by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

His Majesty was introduced to dignitaries from Saudi Arabia, and Bruneis delegation was introduced to His Royal Highness. His Majesty was accompanied by members of the royal family.

Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade Dr Majid Abdullah Alkassabi as the Minister-in-Attendance was also present.

After the meeting, His Majesty attended a dinner hosted by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
