Myanmar to start student enrolment for new academic year on May 23


YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar will start student enrollment for kindergarten to grade 12 for the new academic year on May 23, the Ministry of Education said on Wednesday (May 10).

The country's national school enrollment week for the 2023-2024 academic year will start on May 23 and last until May 31, U Kyaw Swar Thwin, a director-general from the Ministry of Education, told Xinhua.

All schools will adopt a new curriculum this academic year, he noted.

The basic education schools in Myanmar, from kindergarten through grade 12, will start the new academic year on June 1, according to the education ministry.
