S.Korea's Yoon to expand defence industry ties with Vietnam: Yonhap


SEOUL (Reuters): South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol (pic) said on Wednesday (June 21) he hoped to expand defence industry cooperation with Vietnam, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Yoon will head to Vietnam on Thursday for a three-day state visit, accompanied by a 205-person business delegation, his office said.

Yoon told the Vietnam News Agency that he hoped to strengthen security cooperation with Vietnam to cement the rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region, according to Yonhap.

He also said South Korea planned to announce a new aid project during his Vietnam trip to bolster Vietnam's science and technology sector.
