Three die in house fire at village in Amarapura

YANGON (Eleven Media Group/Asia News Network): Three residents in a house in Obo Village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region were killed in a fire that broke out at around 11pm on Tuesday (Aug 22).

Myanmar Social Aid Organization (Mandalay Region) reported that firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire and carry out search and rescue work.

Receiving the information about the fire at about 10pm, 30 fire brigade members and 70 auxiliary fire brigade members along with eight fire engines and five water bowsers went to the scene. The fire was brought under control at 11.20pm.

A 70-year-old man, a 40-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were killed in the fire.
