Brunei releases ‘AS, ‘A’ Level results

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Examinations released the Brunei-Cambridge (BC) GCE ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level examination results on Tuesday (Aug 29).

Some 1,564 candidates sat for ‘AS’ Level examination May/June 2023 session. Out of this, 1,557 were school candidates and seven were private candidates.

At national level, 1,199 candidates (76.66 per cent) obtained two ‘AS’ Level and above while 811 (51.85 per cent) candidates obtained three ‘AS’ Levels and above.

At the school level, 1,197 candidates (76.88 per cent) obtained two ‘AS’ Levels and above while 810 candidates (52.02 per cent) obtained three ‘AS’ Levels and above.

Some 100 candidates sat for the ‘A’ level examination May/June 2023 session. Out of this, 19 (19 per cent) were school candidates and 81 (81 per cent) were private candidates.

At the national level, 43 candidates (43 per cent) obtained two ‘A’ Levels and above while 28 candidates (28 per cent) obtained three ‘A’ Levels and above.

At the school level, 12 candidates (63.16 per cent) obtained two ‘A’ Levels and above while nine candidates (47.37 per cent) obtained three ‘A’ Levels and above.

Students who sat for the exam can get their result slips at their schools while private candidates may collect theirs at the Department of Examination’s counter at One-Stop Centre, Ground Floor, Block C, MoE during office hours.

For candidates wishing to sit for the BC GCE ‘AS’, ‘A’, ‘O’ Level and IGCSE Examinations for the October/November 2023 session, late entry registration will be open from Aug 30 until Sept 7.
