HCM CITY (Vietnam News/Asia News Network): More than 140 pictures by 93 photographers from across the country are on display at the 2023 HCM City Art Photo Festival, which has opened at the city photography association.

The photos are divided into three categories of freestyle, black-and-white, and composite photography.

They feature a wide range of topics such as portrait, landscape, lifestyle, nature, and the country’s achievements in all fields.

All pictures reflect the photographers’ creativity and humanity.

The festival was launched by the association in June, receiving 3,855 entries from 333 photographers from 45 provinces and cities nationwide over one month.

The organiser awarded first prize in freestyle category to the photo titled Viet Nam – Diem Den Cua Nhung Du Thuyen (Vietnam – A Cruise Destination) by Do Tuan Hung, a policeman from the coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The first prize in the black-and-white category was given to the photo “Lao Ngu” (An Old Fisherman) by Nguyen Vu Hau from the northern province of Phu Tho.

Truong Minh Nhut from the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta Province of Tien Giang won the first prize in composite photography with the photo “Nghien Game Tan Pha Tuong Lai” (Video Game Addiction Destroys Life).

The exhibition lasts until Sept 30. The association is at 122 Suong Nguyet Anh Street in District 1.
