Beauty from Eastern Myanmar, Amara Bo, wins Miss Universe Myanmar 2023

YANGON, (Xinhua): Miss Kengtung Amara Bo was crowned the title of "Miss Universe Myanmar 2023" in the Miss Universe Myanmar 2023 finale held in Yangon on Thursday night.

A total of 32 beauty contestants representing the big cities in Myanmar participated in Miss Universe Myanmar 2023.

The 26-year-old Amara Bo, who represented Kengtung, a city in eastern Myanmar's Shan State, won the crown to be a contestant in the upcoming 72nd Miss Universe Competition, which is set to be held in El Salvador later this year.

Dee of Mawlamyine was named first runner-up while Khaymar Budathoki of Bhamo, Nang Nandar Linn of Tachileik, No No May of Pathein, and Thin Sandar Pyae Thiha Aung of Pyin Oo Lwin were the second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively.

"It is my second time to compete for the Miss Universe Myanmar. I'm very happy as I win the crown this time. I will prepare my best to represent Myanmar in the international competition," Amara Bo said.

Miss Universe Myanmar Pageant 2023 is the 10th time of such kind which has been held since 2013, and Zar Li Moe, representative of Bhamo in northern Myanmar's Kachin State, won the title last year.
