China envoy hosts gathering for Brunei athletes heading to Asian Games

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): The Ambassador of China to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo hosted a gathering at his residence for Brunei’s delegation bound for the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023.

Among the attendees were the Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal Mahmud and Director of the Youth and Sports Department Umi Kalthum Abdul Karim.

Sport association presidents and acting presidents were also present, along with athletes participating in the event.

The Chinese ambassador commended the collaboration between China and Brunei in sports and conveyed his wishes to the success of the Brunei delegation in the Hangzhou Asian Games.
