5.4-magnitude quake jolts Papua New Guinea's New Ireland region

HONG KONG (XInhua): An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 hit New Ireland Region, Papua New Guinea, at 0119 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 96.6 km, was initially determined to be at 4.59 degrees south latitude and 153.12 degrees east longitude.
