Myanmar's fishery exports earn over US$282mil in nearly 6 months


YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar earned US$282.45 million from the export of fishery products in nearly six months of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, according to the ministry of commerce on Wednesday (Oct 4).

The revenue from exports of fishery products between April 1 and Sept. 22 this year was down, as compared to $322.73 million earned in the same period of the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the ministry's data showed.

During the period, the country's total export was valued at over $7.3 billion, the ministry said.

Myanmar mainly exports agricultural, animal and marine products, minerals, forest products and manufactured goods to its foreign trade partners, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, according to the commerce ministry.
