India PM Modi confirms 2036 Olympics bid


MUMBAI (AFP): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed Saturday that his country would bid to host the 2036 Olympics.

"India is very excited to organise an Olympics," he said ahead of a session of the International Olympics Committee in Mumbai.

"India will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to organise the 2036 Olympics." - AFP
