BANGKOK (Bernama): Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will make an official visit to China from Monday (October 16) to expand cooperation in various sectors, especially trade, investment, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.

The visit will also coincide with the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on Oct 17 and 18, where he will be attending, and scheduled to deliver a statement at the High Level Forum on "Green Silk Road for Harmony with Nature”, focusing on cooperation on green economy and sustainable development, said the Thai Foreign Ministry in a statement, Friday.

During the official visit, Srettha will pay a courtesy call on Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold bilateral meetings with Premier Li Qiang and China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji.

It said Srettha will deliver remarks on Thai key economic policies at an investment promotion forum, which will be attended by private sectors from both countries.
