Brunei gives royal welcome to Indonesian General

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received in audience Commanding General of the Special Forces of the Indonesian Army, Indonesia National Armed Forces (KOPASSUS TNI-AD) Major General TNI Deddy Suryadi at Istana Nurul Iman.

Accompanying Major General TNI Deddy was Ambassador of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Dr Achmad Ubaedillah.

Also present were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan.

Major General TNI Deddy and his delegation are in the country for a three-day official visit until today, in conjunction with Petir Sakti Exercise currently held between the Special Forces Regiment of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and KOPASSUS TNI-AD.
