BANGKOK (The Nation Thailand/ANN): The chief executive officer of JKN Global Group Pcl, Ann-Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, has sold two lots of her stake in the company totalling 60 million shares, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand reported on Friday evening.

In the first transaction, Anne-Jakkaphong reported the sale of 4,149,400 shares on November 13, for 0.38 baht per share. In the second transaction, on November 14 she reported the sale of 55,850,600 shares for 0.27 baht per share.

The total proceeds from the two transactions exceeded 16 million baht (RM2.11 million).

On November 9, JKN reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on the previous day, the company had submitted a petition to the court for business rehabilitation under the Bankruptcy Act of 1940.

Also on the same day (Nov 9), the court issued an "order accepting the petition for business rehabilitation". The court has scheduled a hearing for the business rehabilitation petition on January 29, 2024.

Anne-Jakrapong acknowledges that due to the rapid decline in the stock price, it has become necessary to sell shares in the margin account or forced selling. She currently has a 32.20% stake in JKN. She affirmed that she continued to actively manage JKN and would retain her stake.

JKN announced last year that it had acquired the Miss Universe brand for 800 million baht. It pledged to increase the brand’s worth by at least 40%. - The Nation Thailand/ANN
