HONG KONG (Agencies): An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 11km SE of Hinundayan, Philippines at 01:38:01 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicentre, with a depth of 210.5 km, was initially determined to be at 10.27 degrees north latitude and 125.31 degrees east longitude, reported Xinhua.
This follows after seven people were killed in a strong earthquake that jolted the southern Philippines on Friday, the national disaster agency had confirmed a day later.
Two people were reported missing and two injured in Friday's magnitude-6.8 quake off Sarangani Island in Davao Occidental province.
"Most victims were hit by falling debris,” said Edgar Posadas, a spokesman for the disaster agency.
At least 60 houses and 32 other buildings were reported damaged, Posadas said.
The Philippines is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where about 90% of the world's earthquakes occur.
One of the strongest quakes to hit the country was in July 1990, when more than 2,400 people were killed on the northern island of Luzon in a 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
