Missing man victim of crocodile attack in Sungai Belait

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A local man reported missing in Sungai Belait around 7pm on Tuesday (Dec 5), is believed to have been attacked by a crocodile.

Belait Police Station received a report regarding the incident, according to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).

Initial investigations revealed the victim was fishing at the riverbank when the incident occurred.

The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) and RBPF are conducting search and recovery efforts.

The public who witnessed the incident are urged to head to any police station to assist in the investigations. The RBPF reminded the public to be extra cautious and avoid water activities in rivers or areas known to be infested with crocodiles. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
