120 detained for immigration offences

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Some 120 individuals were detained and taken to the Immigration and National Registration Department’s (INRD) Law Enforcement Division for failure to produce valid papers during a raid on several commercial buildings in Mukim Sengkurong recently.

Two individuals were found to have committed offences under the Royal Customs and Excise Department, five under the Labour Department, five under the Royal Brunei Police Force and five under the Land Transport Department. The joint operation codenamed ‘Kabat’ investigated 478 foreign nationals. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
