Laos vows to work with Asean countries to enhance biosafety


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Laos' Ministry of Health has pledged to work with other Asean (the Association of South-East Asian Nations) countries to enhance health security and resilience through improved biosafety and biosecurity.

Representatives of health sectors from Laos and other Asean countries met in the Lao capital Vientiane to report on the progress of their activities and share future plans, the ministry said on Friday.

Lao Minister of Health Bounfeng Phoummalaysith addressed the meeting.

The meeting was held from Tuesday to Wednesday. - Xinhua
