YANGON: Charity association We Love Care recently helped to reunite a missing child with her parents after she was found among a group of beggars in the Shwepyitha township.

The five-year-old girl had been playing with her father at a park in Shwepyitha when she went missing at around 5.30pm on Tuesday (March 12).

According to an official from the charity association, the child vanished when her father stepped away to make a purchase.

The association worked with relevant officials and managed to view CCTV footage in the area which showed the child being led out of the park by a young girl who then brought her to a woman waiting nearby with a motorcycle carrier.

Following search efforts organised by the association, the child was found by a man near her home, close to a group of people begging for food, on March 13.

Interestingly, in recent months, numerous missing person advertisements have appeared on Facebook. - Eleven Media Group/ANN
