DSA NATSEC Asia2024: Viettel's cutting-edge defence solutions from Vietnam garner international attention


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama-VNA): The Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NATSEC) Asia 2024 exhibitions, running until Thursday (May 9) have witnessed significant attention drawn towards the high-tech defence industry products and comprehensive Research and Development (R&D) solutions presented by the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel).

According to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Viettel High Tech (VHT), representing the Viettel Group, has expressed its openness to collaborate with global partners, positioning itself as a co-developer of products and offering customisation services tailored to specific customer requirements.

VHT's customisation capability stands as a distinguishing advantage compared to other major defence industry corporations worldwide.

In addition to showcasing advanced military products, VHT has also exhibited component modules, demonstrating its prowess in research and mastery of core technologies, as well as the design of each product component.

Speaking to VNA on the sidelines of the events, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan highlighted Viettel's presence at the exhibitions as opening up numerous prospects for defence industry cooperation with partners from various countries, including Malaysia.

Building upon this collaborative foundation, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, who also serves as the head of the organising committee of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024 noted strengthened defence cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, aligning with the strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to VHT General Director Nguyen Vu Ha, Viettel has solidified memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Malaysian partners and those from other countries through the exhibition. - Bernama-VNA
