BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A local man who went on a spree cheating people off their money by impersonating various officials will learn his fate on May 25.

Muhd Saiful Aizan Abdullah Gumpulan assumed the positions of an internal security department officer, an international volunteer, a middleman and a tourist guide and offered to secure goods for tourists.

Prosecutor Nur Zahidah Farhanah binti Abdul Aziz’s charges carry penalties of imprisonment of up to seven years and a fine.

Magistrate Nur Eleana binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni deferred handing sentencing to consider a fitting punishment. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
