Brunei committed to ensure inclusive and top quality education for all, says health minister

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah Mohd Salleh shared the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) initiatives and Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, including lifelong learning for every individual during the 22nd Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (22CCEM) in London, United Kingdom.

The 22CCEM, themed ‘Driving Resilience, Equity, and Skills for an Inclusive Future’, was hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat and chaired by Kenya.

It was attended by education ministers from Commonwealth member countries and representatives of intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations to review the policies and priorities agreed upon during the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2022) in Kigali, Rwanda and the 21st Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (21CCEM) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The meeting adopted the resolutions of the 22CCEM and the document will be brought up during the next CHOGM taking place in October in Apia, Samoa.

The minister also met President and Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth of Learning Professor Peter Scott. Earlier, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Aliuddin Abdul Rahman attended the Senior Officials Meeting of 22CCEM. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
