Philippines still short of 190,000 health workers; many in the industry prefer working overseas


MANILA (Vietnam News/ANN): The Philippines is short of about 190,000 health workers while many decide to work overseas, Philippine Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said had announced.

Speaking at a press briefing at the presidential palace after discussing the healthcare issues with President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Herbosa said that 20 state universities and colleges in the Philippines now offer medical courses.
