Brunei launches hypo box for diabetic patients


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei's Ministry of Health introduced a "hypo box" which contains consumable items and medical equipment to treat hypoglycemia in diabetic patients, local media had reported,

According to local daily Borneo Bulletin, the hypo box will be available at hospitals and healthcare centers to help patients in hypoglycemia treatment.

Dr. Lina Chong Pui Lin, a consultant at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, said that the introduction of hypoglycemia boxes nationwide serves as a quality improvement project to improve patient safety and increase staff awareness so that hypoglycemia can be treated promptly and effectively. - Xinhua
