BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Some 110 pints of blood were collected during a blood donation drive organised by the Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) at the KB Sentral Shopping Centre on Friday (June 21).

The campaign aimed to boost the blood supplies in the Belait district while reflecting BMC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

BMC HSE general manager Pengiran Mohamad Supri Chuchu said the event helped to showcase the lasting positive impact of donating blood.

It also encouraged both their staff and the public to participate and save lives.

BMC presented small gifts to Suri Seri Begawan Hospital’s Blood Bank and KB Sentral Shopping Centre representatives as appreciation for their help in the event.

Blood donors also received goodie bags and refreshments for their contribution, with several donors winning prizes as part of a lucky draw. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
