Vietnam PM Pham to attend WEF meeting of the New Champions in Dalian city next week


HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which will take place in Dalian city, Liaoning province of China, and have working sessions from June 24-27, a Foreign Ministry's statement said.

The trip will be made at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab, according to the document.

China is Vietnam's largest trading partner. Vietnam is heavily reliant on its neighbour for materials and equipment for its manufacturing. (Reporting by Khanh Vu;

All the participants will definitely have a different experience this year, when the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of New Champions returns to Dalian after five years, said Chen Liming, chair of Greater China at the World Economic Forum, in Beijing on Tuesday.

The entire human society is facing different challenges and people are going to discuss different topics under the theme of "Next Frontiers for Growth" in over 200 sessions of dialogues, according to Chen. - Vietnam News/ANN
