Indian superstar musician and music maestro AR Rahman, the internationally acclaimed award winner known for countless melodies and compositions, is all set to blaze the stage and rock the city during ‘AR Rahman Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024’ concert in Bukit Jalil on July 27.
In what promises to be an unforgettable night of music and entertainment, the legendary AR Rahman will be joined by an exciting lineup of renowned singers for a spectacular performance slated at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
AR Rahman has said that he loves visiting Malaysia. He especially enjoys going to the night markets here and trying out the street food.
According to him, his Malaysian fans are the “craziest” and he loves to bond with them.
“When I am feeling low, I always think of my Malaysian fans and it lifts my spirits,” Rahman said at a virtual press conference with members of the media last Saturday.
Rahman is no stranger to these shores, first performing in Malaysia at the Shah Alam Stadium in 1996. His concert in 2023 here saw him performing to a crowd of over 60,000 people.
The music icon will make his seventh visit to Malaysia on July 27 for “AR Rahman Live in Kuala Lumpur,” a concert organised by Star Planet.
According to Rahman, attendees can expect a fun, high-energy evening of beloved hits, backed up by stunning choreography and cutting-edge audio-visual technology.
Fans are in for a real treat as many top artistes from India and Malaysia will also join Rahman on stage on July 27.
Rahman has said that "these talented artists come together to create a musical extravaganza like no other. Each selected singer has been carefully chosen to bring their unique flair and energy to the stage, ensuring a night filled with mesmerizing melodies and electrifying performances".
Special mention will be given to Malaysia's SRI RASCOL.
Sri is a leading Tamil rapper from Malaysia, Sri Rascol is known for his high-speed rhyming and technical prowess. He gained widespread recognition with the hit song "Showkali" from Acham Yenbathu Madamaiyada, composed by A.R. Rahman.

MANO, an accomplished Indian playback singer and voice-over artist, boasts a remarkable career spanning over 35,000 recorded songs in multiple languages and more than 3,000 live concerts worldwide.
His collaboration with AR Rahman, the renowned composer and musician, is distinguished by their shared pursuit of musical excellence. Mano's versatile voice has left an indelible mark on Rahman's compositions, bringing depth and emotion to their numerous memorable tracks.
Beyond his musical prowess, Mano is also recognized for his contributions as a dubbing artist for Telugu films featuring Rajinikanth. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Mano was honored with an honorary doctorate in 2023 for his significant contribution to music, having sung over 25,000 songs in 15 languages.
SRINIVAS, a recipient of multiple awards for his playback singing, has recorded vocals for over 3,000 songs in various languages. He rose to prominence with hits like "Manna Madurai" from Minsaara Kanavu and "En Uyire" from Uyire. Known for his emotive delivery and profound musical interpretation, Srinivas has consistently brought his distinctive voice to enhance a multitude of Rahman's compositions.
SHWETA MOHAN, a celebrated playback singer with four Filmfare Awards South, has recorded over 800 songs in South Indian languages. Trained in Carnatic music from a young age, she began her career at 9 years old, performing in the children's chorus for A.R. Rahman's songs 'Kuchi Kuchi Rakkamma' (Bombay) and 'Accham Accham Illai' (Indira).
Throughout her illustrious career, Shweta has showcased exceptional talent and versatility, delivering numerous chart-topping hits. Her debut Tamil solo was in the film 'Three Roses.' Known for her vibrant singing style, Shweta has collaborated with renowned music directors, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the Indian music industry.
SHAKTHISREE GOPALAN has been a frequent collaborator with A.R. Rahman, contributing to several notable tracks, including their recent project "Aga Naga" for the film Ponniyin Selvan.
Known for her versatility as a vocalist, composer, and songwriter, Shakthisree first gained recognition with her rendition of "Nenjukkulle" from the movie Kadal. She remains a prominent figure in the independent music circuit, showcasing her talent across genres such as Pop, R'n'B, trip-hop, and jazz, alongside her contributions to film music collaborations with top composers like A.R. Rahman.
BLAAZE, an Indian playback singer and rapper specializing in rap music, Blaaze has contributed to numerous hit songs including "The Boss" and "Style" for Sivaji: The Boss. He is also recognized for his socially relevant lyrics and his work on the official UN anthem on poverty alleviation, "Pray For Me, Brother."
AARYAN DINESH KANAGARATNAM (ADK), a Sri Lankan R&B and hip-hop artist, ADK is known for his collaborations in Tamil cinema and his distinct rap style. He has worked on popular tracks like "Athichudi," "Magudi Magudi," and "Thalli Pogathey."
