Brunei Red Crescent Society celebrates 76th anniversary milestone

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Brunei Red Crescent Society (BRC) marked the 76th anniversary of its founding and celebrated World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on Sunday (June 30) at the Annajat shopping complex.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Halbi was guest of honour.

The event also marked the inaugural presentation of the BRC Distinguished Medal of Honour, commemorating the BRC’s 76th anniversary.

A total of 41 recipients, including veteran senior officers, officers, members, and volunteers recognised for their outstanding service to BRC, were honoured with this distinction.

Additionally, appointment letters were presented to members of the BRC National Council and the Board of Governing Body for the term 2024-2029.

Jerudong International School (JIS) was recognised as Friends of BRC for their continuous humanitarian contributions and financial support towards BRC’s activities. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
