Live bullet found in Korean Air flight attendant's luggage

INCHEON: South Korean police have launched an investigation after a live bullet was found inside the hand luggage of a Korean Air flight attendant during a baggage inspection at Incheon International Airport.

A 7.62-millimetre-calibre live round was discovered in a carry-on bag belonging to a female flight attendant as she prepared to board a Korean Air flight en route to Bangkok at 7:30am on Tuesday (July 2), Yonhap news agency reported according to airport police on Thursday (July 4).

Police collected the live bullet and allowed the flight attendant to travel according to schedule.

They plan to bring her in for questioning as soon as she returns from her trip.

In March, two live bullets were found under a passenger seat on a Korean Air plane about to take off en route to Manila, the Philippines, causing more than 200 passengers to evacuate. - Bernama
