Brunei, Malaysian ministers hail defence, military ties

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Malaysia’s Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin called on Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Major General (Rtd) Datuk Paduka Seri Awang Halbi Mohd Yussof Tuesday (July 9).

During the call, both parties expressed satisfaction with the robust and growing level of defence and military relations between the two countries.

They also acknowledged the importance of continuing the cooperation, and in addition to discussing regional and global peace and security.

Awang Halbi greeted Mohamed Khaled on arrival at the Ministry of Defence (Mindef).

The Malaysian minister received a general salute and inspected the guard of honour comprising Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) personnel.
