BANGKOK: Significant revenue predicted as Thais flock to well-known temples over Buddhist Lent weekend and celebrate HM the King’s birthday this weekend.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is predicting that around 5 million Thais will travel domestically during the two long weekends in July, generating approximately 18 billion baht (US$499 million) in revenue for local tourism entrepreneurs.
