Themed ‘Planet Versus Plastic’, the event emphasises the need for collective action to restore the planet’s ecosystems, combat climate change, and preserve biodiversity where a handicrafts competition was carried out to educate students from an early stage to be prepared to overcome the problem of plastic waste.

In his welcoming remarks, the school’s Headmaster, Roslan Md Hassan, shared that the teachers, students, and their parents continue to provide strong support for the Earth Day Celebration to recycle handicrafts made from used or discarded materials to join recycling competitions.

During the celebration which also continued with an Entrepreneur Day celebration, Kindergarten students staged performances with Earth Day songs including choir songs Fly Fly The Butterfly and Rain Rain Go Away.

The event also provided opportunities for students to participate in entrepreneurship activities by selling variety of foods and drinks as part of their Social Studies Course.
