DANANG: Citilink Indonesia, in cooperation with PT UOS Travel, plans to launch chartered flights connecting Jakarta, Indonesia and the central city as an expansion of the tourism market by December 2024.
The plan was included in a working session among Garuda Indonesia, a national flag carrier airline, Citilink Indonesia and representatives of Danang City’s People’s Committee in Indonesia.
At the meeting, Danang urged the two airlines from Indonesia to open direct flights as part of the city’s tourism promotion programmes.
Danang International Airport welcomed 3.1 million international passengers – a 31 per cent growth – in the first half of 2024.
The port authority said it had signed with 35 international airlines for international flights to Danang Airport.
According to Danang International Terminal Company (AHT), Danang Airport currently hosts 16 international routes including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Korea and Japan with an average of 50 flights per day.
